@RolandAzar

PulseNet Lebanon, established in 2011 through collaboration between the Ministry of Public Health, the American University of Beirut, and the Lebanese Agricultural Research Institute with support from WHO and the CDC, has played a key role in linking foodborne illnesses to their sources using DNA fingerprinting techniques. Between 2009 and 2013, 1,747 cases including four deaths were reported, with raw ground meat and cooked chicken identified as the most common suspected foods, reflecting local dietary habits. Studies during this period revealed 290 clinical and 49 food isolates of Salmonella, along with Campylobacter spp. from chicken samples and Listeria monocytogenes from 59 samples, with several serotypes such as Salmonella Typhimurium, Enteritidis, Braenderup, Typhi, Paratyphi A, Blockley, and Newport found in both clinical and food samples. Outbreak investigations traced Salmonella Typhi in Nabatiyeh to raw meat, Enteritidis in Mount Lebanon to Arabic sweets, and a 2009 salmonellosis incident to undercooked chicken at a bank cafeteria, while contamination studies showed that nearly half of shawarma sandwiches contained Salmonella Paratyphi, highlighting significant food safety challenges in Lebanon. @RolandAzar

Milk contains a wide range of nutrients. It is a food biologically designed only to nourish the calf. Protein builds its muscles, calcium strengthens its bones, lactose gives it energy, and fat fattens it up and turns it into a big bull in a short time. The human body is never compatible with this formula. Cow’s milk was never meant for humans. No adult continues to drink their mother’s milk. We are forcing our bodies to digest something that was never made for us.

The only campaign to promote food safety and protect consumer health is to stop consuming these products and to stop supporting the dairy and cheese sector, which uses lobbying to keep state support and protection for its profits. They run silly marketing campaigns, showing us AI‑made happy cows giving us milk. There is no such thing as a smiling cow joyfully offering her “natural” milk. This is an advertising trick and an insult to people’s intelligence.

The truth is that these industries sexually exploit the male to extract sperm, and exploit the female through artificial insemination. The truth is that the mother cow suffers from continuous pregnancies and the loss of her babies, whom she is never allowed to keep or love. The truth is that the industry kills male calves because they do not produce milk. The truth is that the cow suffers from the pain of machines until her productivity stops, and then she is killed. The truth is exploitation of the bodies of gentle animals, and exploitation of our children’s innocence by convincing them they need cow’s milk.

The solution is a complete boycott of all dairy and cheese products, and any product containing milk is a fraudulent product. Real food is the bounty of the earth, generously given by nature. Plant‑based crops and products are available everywhere. And if we want to enjoy natural and healthy products, there are 100% plant‑based alternatives:
• Cashew cheese
• Soy cheese
• Rice cheese
• Almond cheese
• And more…

The only campaign to protect the consumer and support the farmer is by encouraging agriculture and plant‑based products. They protect humans and the environment, and liberate animals from the cycle of exploitation.

Do you want to know what your stance on slavery would have been back then?
Watch this video.

Many people defended slavery as a “necessity.”
They said sacred texts allowed it,
and that ending slavery would destroy the economy, ruin trade, and threaten livelihoods.
They claimed society would collapse,
and insisted some people were “born to serve.”
They even invented false sciences to say dark‑skinned people were less intelligent and of lower status.

All these excuses were just a cover for one truth:
they didn’t want to lose the privileges and power society gave them.

Today, the same excuses are repeated to justify animal exploitation.
You say using animals for food, entertainment, trade, or any other purpose is “necessary.”
You claim our health will decline without animal products,
that the economy will collapse without trading animal bodies,
and that culture will unravel without these rituals and traditions.
You insist animals were “born to serve humans.”

The victim has changed, but the logic of domination remains the same.
Privilege is still present:
those who benefit defend and conspire with the system,
while those who reject domination stop participating and stand with the victim.

The mirror is clear:
your stance today on animal exploitation reflects your stance if you had lived in the time of slavery.

🔖 This idea is part of my e‑book Brain Tune,
which explores how illusions and inherited indoctrination shape our minds and plant domination in our thinking.
If you want to go deeper, the book is free to read —
and it helps you break free from inherited excuses and contribute to liberating animals.

The word “Haram” was hijacked and held captive by a dangerous, extremist mindset. A word that became forbidden, and any attempt to use it in its true meaning is treated as prohibited — a thought crime.

This terrorist mentality legalized killing for itself and called it “Mubarak.”

The truth is clear: killing animals, no matter the method, is an act of violence and brutality.

Freedom of belief does not give you the right to impose it on the lives of others. This is not freedom, this is aggression. This is domination.

Why do you resort to killing and violence to do good? If you want to offer something valuable to those in need, you can give legumes and grains, or give from your labor, your money, your time, anything you consider precious — without killing innocent beings who suffered, panicked, and were dragged by force onto the stage of crime.

Haram, haram, haram — what you are doing to these innocent animals through violence and bloodshed. A reality that does not allow Eid to be “Mubarak.”
Haram, haram, haram — what you are doing to these innocent animals
When an animal abuse case is exposed, suddenly we see collective outrage.
Condemnation, comments, sharing — everyone shows solidarity against the violation of animal rights.
They proudly jump on the moral bandwagon, becoming the voice of the voiceless.

But when the abuse of farmed animals is exposed, dragged by force to the crime scene, the situation changes.
Solidarity here is no longer just slogans or loud condemnations. It requires a radical change in your daily behaviors and social habits that directly sustain these unjust practices.
And here we witness silence, turning a blind eye to animal abuse.
As if animal abuse is exclusive to companion animals.

And if we shake you a little, saying “vegan”, you throw random, irrational, arbitrary excuses and justifications to cover one simple truth.
The truth is, you simply don’t want to lose the privileges society has given you to exploit these animals.
You know very well that animals, of all kinds, feel and suffer.
Yet you choose to ignore and remain complicit in the exploitative system, deeply rooted in social customs, cultural identity, desires, and financial gains.

This contradiction is clear evidence that your loud voice against injustice and cruelty reflects nothing but hypocrisy.
صوت لمن لا صوت له؟
Many people ask me: “We’re looking for a small dog for the kids.”

When I hear that, I get a very heavy feeling. Because behind what seems like an innocent request lies a dangerous mentality:
The mentality that animals are just commodities with certain specifications we can own for a specific benefit, for a specific purpose, for a specific time.
And then comes the neglect, the harm, and the worst of all? The moment of betrayal. The betrayal of abandonment.

For the dog, you are their entire world. You are safety, love, and trust. They put all of their trust in you.
But when you view them from the beginning as a tool that serves you, the outcome is always harm and injustice. And when the time comes to abandon them, that moment of betrayal reveals the truth of the relationship.

That moment causes deep emotional collapse for the dog — they cannot even understand. Why and what is the reason. Studies confirm that the pain of betrayal resembles physical pain.

The dog you’re “looking for” for your kids is actually like children: a moral commitment, a lifelong responsibility, no matter how heavy they might became or how hard your circumstances get.
The dog needs daily care, a loving home, and your presence gives them affection and safety. Being who depends on you completely.

Do you see the dog as a tool to benefit from until the benefits stop? Or as an individual who deserves care, protection, love, and commitment?
Your answer reflects your personality and your values in life.
Do you see the dog as a tool to benefit from or as an individual who deserves care, and commitment?

It is our duty to react and be part of the revolution. Moving towards a new compassionate world is now substantial.

Dairy and other animal‑derived products are not a Dairy and other animal‑derived products are not a lesser harm than meat — they are often worse because they exploit the animals to death. Behind every piece of cheese lies a cycle of forced pregnancies, stolen calves, and grieving mothers, and slaughter. Eggs, leather, wool, and honey follow the same pattern: To stop eating meat but continue consuming these products is not being against animal abuse. Rescuing animals means refusing all exploitation, because animal use is animal abuse. Veganism is the only consistent act of respecting animals — anything less is complicity with the very system that harms the beings you claim to protect. #govegan #choosecompassion www.choosecompassion.net
