Seventeen starving, malnourished and sick horses were discovered at a horse farm in Lebanon where some of them were even dead!
Working with the Ministry of Agriculture and compassionate individuals, Animals Lebanon team headed to the farm on Friday, May 25, 2018 accompanied by officials from the Ministry to feed the starving horses and investigate further in this abusive and substandard case.
Thanks to these caring individuals, food such as -Bran, Alfalfa, Barley, Sawdust – and bedding have been secured as well as a dedicated farrier who will be taking care of the horses.
After abuse, starvation, and near death, these horses are finally in safe hands. Their rescue and rehabilitation will still need some time so please keep your support coming! Thank you to all who have donated and stepped in – none of this would be possible without you!
Special thanks to Mrs. Claudine Chami for her immediate action and generous donation of food and Ms. Hayat Fakhoury for her needed support! Animals Lebanon Stated
